Signal Distribution
With knowing the harsh climate at Burning Man, and knowing that nothing will ever go according to plan.. Our goal with RetorMan is to be able to make it as modular as we can so that parts can be switched out with replacements rather quickly.. Part of the plan to do this is to use weatherproof distribution boxes to split out the 8 channels of each FadeCandy.
The design for this is to run all 8 channels of the signal coming from the FadeCandy into a CAT6 cable to the distribution box along with power for the LEDs. Inside of the distribution box we will have a PCB the was designed to multiplex power for remote sensors, we are just using it in reverse. Now that we have the boxes in, we can get started on building them up so we are ready to go.
